Job Description
The Associate Director, Integrated Supply Chain Finance & Operations serves as a finance leader and strategic business partner to ISC leadership, driving financial performance, operational excellence, and long-term manufacturing strategies across the network. This role partners closely with Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Planning, and Finance leaders to optimize cost, productivity, capacity, inventory, and capital investments while supporting business growth objectives.
This leader combines deep manufacturing finance expertise with strong operational business acumen, helping the organization make data-driven decisions regarding network optimization, capital deployment, inventory management, capacity planning, sourcing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record leading finance teams within complex manufacturing environments while also influencing operational outcomes through partnership with plant leadership, supply chain planning, procurement, and executive leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
Serve as a finance partner to the VP, Integrated Supply Chain and site leadership teams.Provide financial leadership for manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, planning, and distribution operations.Partner with operations leaders to identify and execute productivity improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and margin enhancement initiatives.Influence strategic decisions regarding network optimization, capacity expansion, capital investments, sourcing strategies, and footprint transformation. Manufacturing & Supply Chain Finance Leadership
Lead financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning activities across manufacturing and supply chain operations.Deliver actionable analysis of plant performance, inventory, labor, overhead, material costs, and productivity initiatives.Drive financial evaluation of manufacturing investments, automation initiatives, operational improvements, and new product introductions.Oversee standard costing processes, cost accounting governance, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Supply Chain & Operational Excellence
Partner with Operations and Supply Chain teams to improve inventory management, customer service, capacity utilization, and working capital performance.Support Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and long-range capacity planning activities.Lead financial modeling for:Make vs. Buy decisionsCapital investment proposalsNetwork optimization initiativesProductivity and automation projectsNew product introductionsSupply chain risk mitigation strategiesSupport manufacturing performance improvement through Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement methodologies. Capital Investment & Strategic Initiatives
Lead financial evaluation and ROI analysis for significant capital investments and transformation initiatives.Support development of business cases for manufacturing expansions, automation, modernization projects, and strategic growth investments.Evaluate economic development incentives, grant opportunities, tax advantages, and alternative financing options supporting manufacturing investment decisions. Team Leadership
Lead and develop Plant Controllers and Supply Chain Finance teams.Create an inclusive and high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, and talent development.Mentor leaders and develop organizational capabilities across finance and operations.Promote adoption of best practices across manufacturing sites and finance organizations. Governance & Financial Stewardship
Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and corporate financial policies.Partner with Corporate Controllership and Audit organizations to maintain strong governance and compliance.Support successful completion of internal and external audits.Maintain effective financial controls across manufacturing operations and supply chain activities. Minimum Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field Experience
12+ years of progressive Finance experience within manufacturing, operations finance, supply chain finance, or plant finance environments5+ years leading and developing teamsDemonstrated experience supporting complex manufacturing operationsExperience partnering directly with Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Plant Leadership teamsExperience leading annual planning, forecasting, and long-range strategic planning processesStrong background in cost accounting, inventory management, standard costing, and manufacturing analytics Technical Skills
Advanced Excel and financial modeling capabilitiesSAP ERP experience within a manufacturing environmentExperience with financial planning and reporting systemsStrong knowledge of manufacturing cost structures, inventory accounting, and operational performance metricsWorking knowledge of BI and analytics tools (Power BI, Hyperion, Essbase, Cognos, etc.) Preferred Qualifications:
