About this role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analyst to join the Product Control team within Investment Banking. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with business, finance, and risk partners to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and transparency of financial reporting.
Product Control plays a key role in supporting Capital Markets and M&A activities by delivering reliable financial information and meaningful analysis to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Produce and analyze daily and monthly Profit & Loss (P&L) for Investment Banking activitiesInvestigate and explain drivers of P&L movements, including market impacts and deal activitySupport month-end close processes and ensure accurate financial reportingBook and review transactions related to Capital Markets and M&A activityPerform key controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with internal policiesIdentify and resolve discrepancies in financial results, partnering with relevant teamsCollaborate with Front Office/MO, Risk, Operations, and Finance stakeholdersContribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related fieldStrong accounting and financial analysis skills, with solid understanding of reporting and controlsAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills (data analysis, reconciliations, modeling)High level of attention to detail with a strong control and audit mindsetProven ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive transformation initiativesEffective communication skills, with proficiency in EnglishAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Preferred Qualifications
Solid understanding of accounting principles within Investment Banking products (e.g., Capital Markets, M&A)Experience in accounting, financial reporting, product control, or related rolesExposure to process optimization, automation, or transformation initiatives (e.g., workflow redesign, control enhancements)Familiarity with data and automation tools (e.g., Python, Tableau, Alteryx) to improve efficiency and scalabilityExperience working in change management or innovation-driven environments What We Offer
