Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Payroll Analyst to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll operations across the organization. As a key member of Harvey’s payroll team during a high-growth period, you will have the opportunity to build scalable processes, partner cross-functionally with People Operations, Accounting and Finance teams, and contribute to a best-in-class employee experience. What You'll DoPayroll Operations

Serve as a subject matter expert for end-to-end payroll operations

Support the accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly, bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, such as sales compensation, bonus and termination payrolls

Review and reconcile payroll data including earnings, deductions, tax withholdings, and garnishments

Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations

Maintain payroll records and documentation in accordance with company policy and regulatory requirements

Troubleshoot payroll discrepancies and implement corrective actions

Assist with year-end payroll activities including W-2 reconciliation and distribution

Payroll and Equity Accounting Support

Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to support the financial reporting of payroll and equity transactions

Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to payroll, benefits, and stock-based compensation

Assist with the calculation and reporting of stock-based compensation expense

Support internal and external audits by preparing requested documentation and responding to auditor inquiries

Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls over payroll and equity processes

Customer Service and Collaboration

Provide outstanding service to employees and internal stakeholders

Serve as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries related to payroll, tax withholdings, equity awards, and related matters

Partner closely with People Operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding, offboarding, and employee lifecycle changes are accurately reflected in payroll and equity systems

Collaborate with People, Legal, Tax, and Finance teams on cross-functional initiatives and process improvement projects

Contribute to the creation and maintenance of process documentation, FAQs, and training materials to enhance employee self-service capabilities

What You HaveBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

4-6 years of progressive experience in payroll processing, equity administration, or a closely related function is required

Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations, as well as familiarity with equity compensation instruments including stock options and RSUs.

Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy in data management are essential

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills are required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including the ability to work with complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis tools, is expected

Compensation$116,00-$174,000
