The Burlingame School District is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Food Service Director to join our school nutrition program. This position plays an important role in providing healthy, nutritious meals to our students while maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment. Responsibilities
• Manage the daily operation of the food service program, including ordering supplies, meal preparation, and meal service.
• Oversee daily kitchen activities and assist staff where needed to ensure efficient operations.
• Plan daily menus and schedules in accordance with program requirements.
• Ensure the food service program complies with all applicable federal and state regulations.
• Supervise and coordinate food service operations while promoting proper nutrition and safeguarding the health and well-being of students and staff.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.
• Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with fellow employees.
• Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including washing dishes and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Assist with all aspects of daily food service operations as needed.
Qualifications

• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM Compensation: Competitive wages based on experience.
