About this role
DAYS PER YEAR: 203 HOURS PER DAY: 2.5 (3:30pm - 6:00pm) REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
• Highly interested in school-age children.
• Warm, positive attitude and an ability to relate with children and adults.
• Willingness to fulfill the program goals.
• Prefer a degree in Child Care, teaching, or a related area of study – MUST HAVE 60 college credits.
• Take any required online training classes (Gateways).
• Become CPR and First Aid certified (Project SCOPE will provide the class).
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supervise and implement activities in the extended day program
• Meet the needs of the individual child
• Treat each child with dignity and respect
• Assume an equal share of housekeeping responsibilities with the staff
• Attend any mandatory staff meetings and participate in training programs
• Establish a positive liaison with parents and children
• Assist in fulfilling the program goals
• Support school rules and staff members
• Other duties as assigned by the Coordinator, Assistant Coordinator or Immediate Supervisor
SALARY: Assistant: $17.83 per hour (26-27) Without 60 college credit hours Associate: $18.64 per hour (26-27) With 60 college credit hours
