Director of After School & Summer Camp Programs Position Title: Director of After School & Summer Camp Programs Reports To: Principal Employment Type: Extended Contract/Part-Time Administrative Position (Hours vary by season) Location: McKissick Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) Easley, South Carolina Position Summary McKissick Academy of Science and Technology (MAST) is seeking an energetic, organized, and visionary leader to serve as the Director of After School & Summer Camp Programs. This individual will lead all aspects of MAST's enrichment programming, creating an engaging experience that extends our STEM magnet mission beyond the traditional school day. The Director will oversee program operations, staff supervision, budgeting, enrollment, family communication, safety procedures, curriculum development, and community partnerships while ensuring every child experiences a safe, enriching, and memorable environment. The successful candidate is a relationship builder, strong communicator, excellent organizer, and passionate advocate for children and STEM education. Primary Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and management of the MAST After School & Summer Camp Program, ensuring alignment with the school's mission, vision, and STEM focus.

• Create and oversee engaging after school and summer programming that includes STEM enrichment, engineering challenges, arts, recreation, leadership development, and character education.

• Supervise all daily program operations, including student and staff schedules, attendance, enrollment, and program logistics.

• Serve as the primary liaison between the program, families, school administration, and community partners by maintaining positive communication and exceptional customer service.

• Develop and manage the program budget, including tuition collection, purchasing, expenditures, and annual budget planning.

• Ensure compliance with all School District of Pickens County policies, South Carolina childcare regulations, health and safety requirements, emergency procedures, and student confidentiality standards.

• Coordinate annual summer camp programming, special events, and enrichment opportunities, including Brief Club activities and community partnerships.

• Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, health information, financial transactions, and other required program documentation.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education, Child Development, Recreation, Educational Leadership, Human Development, or related field preferred. • Associate degree with significant leadership experience may be considered. • Experience working with elementary-aged children. • Minimum three years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred. • Experience planning youth programs. • Strong organizational skills. • Excellent communication skills. • Ability to supervise multiple staff members simultaneously. • Ability to manage budgets and records. • Strong technology skills.

Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to:

• Walk throughout campus frequently. • Supervise outdoor activities. • Lift up to 40 pounds. • Stand for extended periods. • Participate in recreational activities. • Respond quickly during emergencies.
