Position: English/ELA Long-Term Substitute Teacher (Position will be hired via EDUStaff)
Location: Howell High School 9-12
Duration: August 17 - December 31, 2026
Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Summary: This position is a long-term substitute position in a high school classroom.
Education/ Qualifications: The individual in this position needs to hold a current MI secondary teaching certificate with an endorsement in English (BA) 6-12 or English Language Arts (BQ) 6-12 and be approved to substitute teach through EDUStaff.
Responsibilities:
• Report on time to the assigned location to get the daily schedule/assignment for the day. Fulfill the assignment of the day communicating with necessary individuals when deemed appropriate.
• Establish relationships with building staff, students, and parents.
• Possess knowledge of HPS organization, mission, and philosophy.
• Perform other duties deemed appropriate and as assigned by the Building Principal.
Wage Rate: $170 per day
