Job Title: Clerk - Attendance Exemption Status/Test: Nonexempt Reports to: Principal Date Revised: 10/1/2025 Dept./School: Assigned Campus Pay Grade: PG 4 Work Days: 205 SALARY / WORK DAYS: Hourly pay range minimum is $17.05; pay based upon experience; will work 7.5 hours daily, normally work 187 days annually Primary Purpose: Maintain accurate attendance records for the campus. Under close supervision, perform data entry including attendance, and Public Education Information Management System (PEIMS) data. Qualifications: Education/Certification: High school diploma or GED Special Knowledge/Skills: Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and databases, and do word processing Proficient in keyboarding, 10-key numerical data entry, and file maintenance Ability to meet established deadlines Experience: 3 years data entry experience Major Responsibilities and Duties: Records and Reports
• Collect and enter attendance and PEIMS data into an established database and verify accuracy according to prescribed procedures.
• Assist parents, students, and faculty with questions regarding student attendance.
• Contact parents/guardians to verify student absences as needed and report attendance problems to designated administrators.
• Compile, maintain, file, and distribute all reports, records, and other documents as required following established procedures.

• Assist in the campus office as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.
