Title: STEM Teacher Facilitator (Classified) Description REPORTS TO: Principal SUPERVISES: May coordinate and support the work of instructional assistants, volunteers, and student interns participating in STEM programs and activities. PURPOSE: To support the implementation, coordination, and sustainability of the school's STEM program by facilitating hands-on learning experiences, maintaining STEM laboratories and instructional resources, collaborating with teachers to integrate STEM practices into the curriculum, and promoting student engagement through innovative instructional support. The STEM Teacher Facilitator serves as a resource to teachers and students by providing technical, instructional, and organizational support that enhances STEM education across grade levels. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES A. MAJOR FUNCTION: STEM Program Coordination Coordinates the daily operation of the school's STEM program; assists with planning and implementing STEM initiatives and activities; prepares and organizes STEM instructional materials and equipment; maintains STEM laboratories, and innovation areas; assists teachers with integrating STEM lessons and project-based learning experiences into classroom instruction; supports school-wide STEM events, competitions, showcases, and family engagement activities. B. MAJOR FUNCTION: Instructional Support Collaborates with teachers to prepare STEM materials and learning experiences; models appropriate use of STEM equipment and technology; assists students during STEM investigations, engineering challenges, coding activities, robotics, and laboratory experiences; reinforces classroom instruction through hands-on learning opportunities; promotes inquiry, creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving among students. C. MAJOR FUNCTION: Management of STEM Resources Maintains inventory of STEM supplies, equipment, instructional technology, and consumable materials; organizes and stores materials in a safe and efficient manner; recommends purchases of STEM equipment and supplies; monitors equipment maintenance and coordinates repairs when needed; ensures instructional resources are available and prepared for classroom use. D. MAJOR FUNCTION: Safety and Laboratory Management Maintains a safe learning environment by ensuring compliance with laboratory safety procedures and district guidelines; instructs students in the safe use of STEM equipment and materials; monitors student behavior during laboratory and hands-on activities; reports safety concerns promptly; maintains cleanliness and organization of STEM instructional spaces. E. MAJOR FUNCTION: Technology Integration Assists teachers and students in utilizing instructional technology to enhance STEM learning; supports coding platforms, robotics equipment, engineering software, 3D printers, digital fabrication equipment, and other emerging technologies; troubleshoots minor technology issues related to STEM instruction and communicates larger concerns to appropriate personnel. F. MAJOR FUNCTION: Student Engagement Creates engaging and interactive STEM learning experiences that encourage critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and innovation; assists with STEM clubs, after-school enrichment, competitions, and community partnerships; encourages student participation in STEM career exploration and real-world problem-solving opportunities. G. MAJOR FUNCTION: Collaboration and Professional Support Works collaboratively with administrators, teachers, instructional staff, business partners, and community organizations to strengthen STEM programming; participates in school improvement initiatives related to STEM education; assists with professional learning opportunities by sharing STEM resources and best practices; communicates effectively with staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders. H. MAJOR FUNCTION: Professional Responsibilities Maintains confidentiality of student and personnel information; complies with all federal, state, and local policies and procedures; attends required meetings, professional development activities, and training sessions; demonstrates professionalism, dependability, flexibility, and a commitment to continuous improvement; performs other duties as assigned by the Principal. ADDITIONAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Assists with grant implementation and STEM-related projects.

• Supports field experiences, career days, and community STEM partnerships.

• Coordinates STEM Family Nights and student showcases.

• Assists with maintaining documentation required for STEM certification or school recognition programs.

• Performs other related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE Associate degree from an accredited institution preferred; bachelor's degree in education, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, instructional technology, or a related field is desirable. Experience working with students in an educational setting and knowledge of STEM instructional practices preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS OR STANDARDS REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Physical Requirements Must be able to use a variety of instructional technology, computers, robotics equipment, engineering tools, laboratory equipment, audiovisual equipment, office equipment, and instructional materials. Must be able to lift, carry, push, or move equipment and instructional supplies weighing up to 30 pounds. Physical requirements are consistent with Light Work. Data Conception Requires the ability to compare, organize, evaluate, and interpret instructional data, inventory records, equipment specifications, and student performance information. Interpersonal Communication Requires the ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, administrators, parents, community partners, and vendors. Must be able to provide clear oral and written instructions and collaborate effectively with diverse groups. Language Ability Requires the ability to read instructional manuals, technical documents, curriculum materials, reports, correspondence, and safety guidelines. Must be able to prepare reports, inventories, instructional materials, and correspondence. Intelligence Requires the ability to apply logical reasoning and problem-solving skills to instructional, organizational, and technical situations; collect and analyze information; and develop practical solutions. Verbal Aptitude Requires the ability to explain STEM concepts, demonstrate procedures, provide technical assistance, and communicate effectively with individuals of varying ages and abilities. Numerical Aptitude Requires the ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, measurements, data analysis, budgeting, inventory management, and interpretation of graphs and charts. Form/Spatial Aptitude Requires the ability to assemble, inspect, organize, and operate STEM equipment, engineering materials, laboratory apparatus, and instructional displays. Motor Coordination Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes in operating computers, robotics systems, laboratory tools, engineering equipment, and audiovisual devices. Manual Dexterity Requires the ability to manipulate instructional equipment, technology devices, laboratory materials, and classroom resources safely and accurately. Color Discrimination Requires the ability to distinguish colors and visual indicators used in instructional materials, technology systems, laboratory equipment, and safety procedures. Interpersonal Temperament Requires the ability to work cooperatively with students, staff, families, and community partners while maintaining professionalism under varying work demands and deadlines. Physical Communication Requires the ability to hear and speak effectively in person, by telephone, and through electronic communication platforms. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Knowledge of STEM education principles, project-based learning, engineering design, and inquiry-based instructional practices.

• Knowledge of instructional technology, robotics, coding platforms, makerspace equipment, and emerging educational technologies.
