About this role

Job Description: St. Paul the Apostle is seeking several Child Care Assistants to support our After School Care program for the entirety of the 2026-2027 school year. This is a great opportunity for college students who enjoy working with children and are looking for part-time, meaningful work. Position Details

• Hours: 3:00PM – 5:30PM, Monday-Friday

• Flexible Schedules Available: 2-3 day/week options

• Student Ages: toddler through elementary school

• Program with students begins August 24th, 2026 (start date can be flexible with college start dates)

• Program with students ends June 8th, 2027. Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with children in a warm, respectful, and positive manner

• Monitor and ensure the safety of all children

• Assist older students with homework

• Facilitate age-appropriate activities in art, science, literacy, math, and gross motor play Preferred Qualifications:

• Valid drivers license

• Enjoys and is comfortable working with children

• Dependable and punctual

• Energetic, creative, and team oriented Required Certifications/Trainings (can be completed after hiring; employer will coordinate and cover training costs):

• CPR and First Aid Certified

• Blood Borne Pathogens training

• Virtus – Protecting God’s Children Training
