Roseville Community Schools Roseville, MI POSITION AVAILABLE Student Assistant Specialist (2 positions) Elementary Level Work year/day School Calendar/182 Days (2026/27 School Year) ****** Work Hours: 6 ¼ hours per day including ½ hour unpaid lunch. Consistent with applicable Building; May be modified/flexed by building Principal, including the option of afternoon or Evening meetings. Salary $42,800 Qualifications:
• BA/BS Degree in Social Work or Human Services related field (required).
• Certified or licensed as a counselor or social worker (preferred).
• Experience with school-aged youth.
• Background/experience in Advocacy and Student Support (preferred).
• Such other qualifications as may be identified.
Sample Duties:
• Identify at-risk students.
• Develop individual and small group sessions for academic intervention and discipline prevention.
• Develop and monitor behavior/success plans.
• Monitor student attendance, discipline, and academic progress.
• Meet with parents and staff regarding intervention plans and progress.
• Work to develop school/community partnerships with outside organizations that support at-risk youth.
• Work with and enhance existing mentoring program for at-risk youth at school.
• Referrals to appropriate district personnel or outside agency, as necessary.
• Other duties may be assigned by the building principal.
This assignment will be filled for the 2026/2027 school year. Continuation of the position will be contingent on the availability of future grant funding.
