About this role
The Halifax Elementary School (HES) is seeking qualified candidates for a Long Term Substitute grade 1 teacher (1.0 FTE) for an assignment expected to begin on or around early November 2026 and through the end of February 2026. This is a 1th grade teaching position at HES, a kindergarten - grade 6 school. A successful candidate should:
• be licensed to teach grade 1.
• collaborate effectively with other staff members.
• be willing to take part in professional development and attend faculty meetings.
• communicate with families.
• seamlessly transition to the role in the absence of the primary educator.
Salary is a daily rate of $324.02 beginning on day 1.
