Salary Schedule In accordance with Berkeley County Schools Teacher Salary Scale with verified years of experience and degree level.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, and demonstrate the knowledge and ability to be a qualified and effective candidate for the vacancy. West Virginia teacher certification in general science, physical science, earth/space science, physics, chemistry, chemistry/physics, biological science, or general/physical science for grades 9-12. Required skills and abilities include: minimum of a Bachelor's degree; state education licensure with appropriate grade level endorsement; ability to guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals; effective classroom management; ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; and the ability to work as part of a team. Additional Job Information If a certified candidate is unavailable for this position, then an applicant who is eligible for a first-class permit, alternative certification, Teacher-in-Residence, or a perm sub can be considered.
