JOB VACANCY 07.30.2026 EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER Cheltenham School District announces that the following support staff position is available for the 2026-2027 school year: Position Title: Kindergarten Assistant Location: Cheltenham Elementary School Compenstion: $18.22 per/hour (New Hires, Based on the 2025-2026 BEC Salary Schedule) Overview: Provide assistance to the teacher and the children. Supervise the children before school begins; supervise and escort the children to their bus at dismissal. Assist the teacher in the classroom during students' lessons and projects and in the computer lab; provide support with small student groups. Supervise children in the cafeteria during lunch. Maintain strict confidentiality with respect to information concerning students. Qualifications: Requires an associate's degree or 48 credits of post-secondary course work.
