18.05 per hour 225 Day (10 1/2 month) calendar with standard benefits This position works 8 per day and 40 per week. The scheduled work hours for this position are 7:00am-3:30pm

STATUS: Full-Time/40 Hours per week

POSITION SUMMARY: Supports the mission of the school district by performing general secretarial skills to support the department or building to which assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Maintain confidentiality of all student related matters
• Enroll new students and obtain a variety of student records from other schools
• Maintain and update permanent student records and test scores
• Prepare and send student transcripts
• Review requests by Social Security Administration, law enforcement, and mental health representative and complete as necessary
• Review all residency requirements per district policy
• Attend district registrar meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned

• Ability to anticipate, initiate and follow through with duties not specifically assigned
• Ability to compose general correspondence
• Ability to edit routine correspondence for spelling and grammar errors
• Ability to evaluate and solve problems in the absence of supervisor
• Ability to execute defined work assignments
• Ability to focus on details of tasks and review entries for accuracy
• Ability to move throughout assigned office and building
• Ability to perform necessary clerical procedures to complete assigned duties throughout assigned location
• Ability to recognize common safety and health hazards
• Ability to stoop, bend, twist, lift and move supplies, including lifting up to 15 pounds
• Ability to understand and know how to use supplies and equipment
• Possess interpersonal skills that enable the employee to interact with children, staff, parents, and supervisors in a professional and courteous manner
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
• Excellent communication skills; must be able to serve the public in a diplomatic friendly and efficient manner
• Knowledge of standard office machines and equipment and computers
• Knowledge of office practices and procedures
• High school diploma supplemented by minimum of one-year secretarial experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
EQUIPMENT USED:
• Standard office equipment such as computer, telephone, copier, scanner, fax machine
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
• Physical demands of handling a variety of student needs
