Jenks Public Schools Job Description Position: Counseling Office Administrative Assistant Reports to: High School Principal Supervises: None Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrate ability to use oral and written communication effectively.
• Minimum typing speed of 45 words per minute.
• Computer and clerical skills required.
• Good interpersonal skills with students and adults.
• Satisfy all district requirements with regards to physical health and citizenship.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
Position Goals: To assist in the daily operation of the High School office and effectively maintain High School records. Performance Responsibilities:
• Help with counter and telephones.
• Take phonee messages for Building 6 teachers and counselors.
• Process new student ID's.
• Collect and deposit money for lost textbooks and transcripts.
• Assist other administrative assistants as needed.
• Assist customers with information regarding District and High School programs.
• Make Back to School Night arrangements.
• Assign lockers and maintain locker assignment lists.
• Schedule parent/teacher conferences and parent pre-enrollment conferences.
• Assist with enrollment of students in the fall.
• Assist with selling activity passes.
• Assist with activity accounts.
• Assist with school records maintenance, student enrollments, and student withdrawals.
• Lead, coordinate, or assist with testing.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
