• Valid Washington State Teacher's certificate and valid Washington State Principal's credential
• Minimum 3 years demonstrated successful K-12 administrative experience; Principal experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement innovative programs, think creatively, and use collaboration to actualize ideas
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge and experience working with diverse student populations
• Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and successfully with staff, students, patrons, and administrators
• Demonstrated leadership and experience in supervision and evaluation of staff
• Demonstrated ability to use sound judgement and work well under pressure
• Experience and/or knowledge in STEM education and/or STEM initiatives
• Support and communicate district philosophy
• Knowledge and experience in improving student achievement based on state and national learning standards, school improvement plan, and all other state requirements
• Demonstrated ability to use technology to enhance instruction and classroom and school management
• Skills appropriate to manage personnel and programs, communicate effectively, utilize existing resources, engage in shared decision making, take timely action using sound judgment and solve problems
