OAPSE transfer requests via internal applications will be accepted until 2:00 pm on 8/3/26 External applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
Hours*: 3.5 contract hours per day (*additional hours available not to exceed 28.75 total hours per week) Report times*: AM Route 6:15 am start / PM Route 1:30 pm start (*start and end times will vary slightly based on bus route) Salary: $15.73 per hour starting rate in accordance with the OAPSE negotiated agreement
Duties and Responsibilities: (See Transportation Supervisor for specific details of assignment)
• Monitor students while riding the bus in accordance with their needs • Assist students entering and exiting the bus in accordance with their needs • Physically capable of safely and appropriately lifting and managing preschool and special needs children when necessary • Work as a team with the bus driver to ensure safety and efficiency in the transfer of students • Shall adhere to all District policies, and Transportation guidelines while on the bus and at the transfer locations • Maintain a high level of confidentiality • Provide leadership by enforcing pupil behavior while on the bus • Ensure that students are in a safe, secure environment at all times • Employ a variety of strategies to manage student behavior and conflict • Must attend required training and in-service annually • All other duties consistent with the general job description as assigned by the Building Administrators, Department Supervisor, Superintendent, or designee
REQUIREMENTS TO BE ON FILE BEFORE A SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT CAN BEGIN WORK ARE:
• Current favorable BCII (State) and FBI (Federal) background checks • Enroll in Ohio Rapback System • Negative drug screen
