Immediate Opening TRANSPORTATION DIRECTOR This is a full-time, year-round position; we offer a competitive salary and a generous benefits package, including retirement. Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Acts as a liaison between the district and the public on matters related to busing and other transportation.
• Supervision and evaluation of all district bus and van drivers
• Coordinates with Fleet Manager
• Assists with the yearly transportation budget
• School bus route planning
• Scheduling athletic and other extra-curricular trips
Qualifications: Upon hire, you will be required to obtain a Criminal History Record Check (CHRC) from the Maine Department of Education. A valid CDL license with a bus driver endorsement is preferred. Successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, prior supervisory experience, great communication and good computer skills as it relates to state reports and routing software.
