A Summer Family Engagement Intern supports school-community connections by coordinating summer programs, assisting with family outreach, and planning transition events. Key elements include logistics support, communication, and resource tracking. Job Title: Summer Family Engagement Intern Duration: July – August (approx. 20 hours/week) Department: Family Engagement Compensation: $18/hr Key Responsibilities:
• Family Outreach & Communication: Help draft, translate, and distribute newsletters, welcome packets, and surveys to incoming and returning families.
• Data & Logistics: Maintain logs of family contacts, event attendance, and feedback responses to help evaluate summer programming effectiveness.
• Resource Navigation: Compile local health, food, and academic support directories to connect families with community programs.
Qualifications & Skills Education Status:
• High School Diploma
Communication Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and written communication abilities; bilingual skills (such as Spanish or local home languages) are highly preferred.
Cultural Competency: Comfort working with diverse student and family economic backgrounds. Administrative Proficiencies: Familiarity with basic office software, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools.
