WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR The CTE Integration Strategist serves as a campus-based instructional leader responsible for supporting teachers through coaching, instructional technology integration, career exploration initiatives, digital learning, and implementation of innovative instructional practices. The Strategist works alongside campus administrators, CTE teachers, counselors, and district leadership to strengthen instructional quality while increasing student achievement, industry-based certifications (IBCs), program completion, work-based learning participation, and CCMR outcomes. This position emphasizes coaching rather than evaluation and serves as a bridge between classroom instruction, technology, workforce readiness, and district CTE initiatives. WHY LA JOYA ISD

QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification:
• Bachelor's Degree
• Valid Texas Teaching Certificate
• CTE Certification preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
Experience:
• Minimum three years successful classroom teaching
• Successful implementation of technology-rich instruction
• Experience delivering professional development
• Experience coaching adult learners preferred

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES Professional Growth
• Participate in ongoing professional learning related to instructional coaching, educational technology, artificial intelligence, accountability, and Career & Technical Education.
• Maintain current knowledge of emerging instructional technologies and workforce trends.

• Participate in required district and regional CTE meetings.
Instructional Leadership The CTE Integration Strategist shall:
• Provide job-embedded instructional coaching to assigned campuses.
• Model high-quality CTE instruction.
• Co-plan and co-teach lessons with teachers.
• Support teachers implementing technology-rich instruction.
• Assist teachers with lesson design aligned to TEKS.
• Integrate AI tools into classroom instruction.
• Promote project-based learning.
• Support digital portfolio implementation.
• Support industry certification preparation.
• Assist teachers in improving student engagement.
• Collaborate with campus administration to support instructional improvement.
• Assist teachers in implementing Career Preparation and Practicum expectations.
Technology Integration
• Provide Google Workspace professional development.
• Train staff on district-approved instructional technology.
• Support digital classroom implementation.
• Assist with classroom technology troubleshooting.
• Coordinate technology inventory.
• Recommend instructional technology purchases.
• Maintain software licenses and digital resources.
• Support equitable access to instructional technology.
Career Exploration & Workforce Readiness
• Support implementation of district career exploration initiatives.
• Train teachers and counselors on career planning platforms.
• Support digital career portfolios.
• Assist with career fairs.
• Support work-based learning initiatives.
• Assist with business and industry partnerships.
• Coordinate virtual career experiences.
• Promote employability skills instruction.
Professional Learning
• Plan and facilitate district professional development.
• Deliver campus-based coaching sessions.

POSITION WORKING DAYS 207 Days SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES None Provides instructional coaching and leadership but does not conduct formal teacher evaluations. COMPENSATION Salary according to the La Joya ISD Teacher Pay Scale and Board-approved compensation plan.
