PAY GRADE: H FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Incumbents in this classification perform a variety of duties in a library or computer lab setting, in accordance with 21st century teaching and learning skills. Duties include: maintaining facility and equipment; tracking, preparing, receiving, and maintaining inventory of library and instructional equipment and supplies; instructing students and teachers on use and availability of library and instructional resources; documenting and reporting of activities; providing support regarding IT related issues and problems, and monitoring student use and behavior.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.)
• Assists students, teachers, staff, and administrators on facility use and availability of digital and physical library and instructional resources.
• Collaborates with teachers regarding student instruction and supervision while utilizing equipment and resources in assigned area of responsibility.
• Maintains master calendar used to reserve time in assigned area of responsibility.
• Prepares and maintains records related to the utilization of the facilities and activities in assigned area of responsibility.
• Manages and maintains supplies and inventory of library and instructional resources utilizing the district's standard library management software.
• Maintains the library catalog; ordering, processing, cataloging, and weeding materials to best meet the needs of students and teachers.
• Administers or assists with the Accelerated Reader program, if utilized at the site.
• Coordinates the repair and/or maintenance of library and instructional equipment.
• Conducts activities related to information and digital literacy and reader engagement.
• Manages budget expenditures for library materials.
• Ensures all students and staff have required functioning personal technology and curriculum materials, accounted for in the library management software.
• Provides technical support, customer service, and on-site assistance to school administration, staff, students, and parents.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: (positions in this class typically require): High School Diploma or G.E.D., and one year of educational, computer, library, or clerical experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
• Valid Department of Public Safety (DPS) Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions. Medium Work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
