Position Title: Executive Director of Student Services FTE: 1.0 Contract Year: 20262027 School Year District/Building: Bettendorf Community School District Administration Center Join our team Bettendorf Community School District is seeking a dynamic and experienced educational leader to serve as the Executive Director of Student Services. This individual will lead and manage programs that support the academic, behavioral, social-emotional, and specialized needs of all students. The role includes oversight of Special Education and Student Services areas and plays a critical role in ensuring equitable access and success for every learner. Terms of Employment Contract: 12-month (261-day) contract (prorated) Salary: $136,684 (includes an 8.5% tax-sheltered annuity in addition to the base salary). Salary will be prorated based on the employee's start date. Qualifications
• Valid Iowa Administrative Certificate (or ability to obtain) • Experience, training, and/or certification in Special Education • Demonstrated leadership experience in student services, special education, or school administration • Knowledge of current federal and state regulations, including IDEA, Section 504, and state/federal categorical programs • Must be able to provide required I-9 documentation to verify eligibility to work in the United States
Knowledge, Skills, and Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and supervision for Special Education and Student Services areas • Ensure district compliance with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations • Collaborate with district and building leadership teams to support equitable access and academic achievement for all students • Manage budgets and staffing across departments within student services • Develop and lead professional learning focused on inclusion, equity, and best practices in student support • Partner with families, staff, and community agencies to promote student well-being and school success • For a full overview of duties and expectations, please refer to the linked job description
