Reports To: Director of Teaching & Learning and Building Administrator Fund: Cuyahoga County/Closing the Achievement GAP

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in diversity, urban studies, education, social work and/or 5-7years related experience working in multi-ethnic/culturally diverse environments. • Ability to work with students, families and the community-at-large. • Prior successful experience working in an urban educational environment with at-risk students. • Excellent organization, written and oral communication and customer service skills. • Self motivated and able to multi-task as a self starter. • Has proven experience in motivating students to reach academic and social goals. • Ability to coordinate resources for other adults within the program. • Ability to organize and implement program requirements. • Self motivated and able to multi-task with minimal supervision. • Computer literate and able to learn how to navigate the District's student databases. Job Description/Duties and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the state resources and the designated high school and middle school staff. • Ensure that the grant's scope of work is executed. • Motivate eligible students to participate in the program activities. • Facilitate the implementation of the program. • Collect necessary data to monitor and increase, where necessary, the level of participation of the targeted students and their parents. • Provide truancy and behavioral intervention supports • Monitor students attendance, behavior and academics and intervenes when necessary in order to keep students on track for promotion and ultimately Graduation. Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

• Organize a one-day mandatory workshop for parents and students. • Establish Graduation Action Success Teams. • Develop a school/community compact composed of leaders who pledge to work with the targeted student group. • Establish student led focus groups. • Provide unique staff development sessions that provide cultural competency skills to enable teachers and school staff to reach students academically. • Organize and/or sustain after school activities utilizing school and/or existing community programs. These programs may be academic, recreational or court related diversionary programs. • Make home visits. • Involve local businesses, corporations and organizations to organize shadowing, internships, and field trip experiences to broaden the students' view of what is possible in their future. • Establish a parent focus group to build relationships with students to further academic success. • Provide summer transition, academic and character building experiences. This may include overnight trips on a college campus and other exposure trips. • Establish and sustain a viable mentoring program to include all targeted student participants. Terms of Employment: Salary: 2026-2027 school year $61,000.00 Possess the physical and mental attributes required to perform all essential functions.
