The successful candidate will provide support through the APEX e-learning platform in Math, English, Social Studies, and Science, while also fostering a positive and structured learning environment. Strong classroom management skills and familiarity with Positive Behavior Intervention Systems (PBIS) are essential, as you will work with a diverse population of students from various ages and backgrounds. QUALIFICATIONS: ? High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree preferred. ? Valid Ohio Educational Aide Permit/ESEA or Substitute license or willing to obtain. ? Experience working in a school environment with at risk youth. ? Ability to utilize restorative practices and trauma-informed teaching approaches to create a supportive educational atmosphere. ? Knowledge of effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive and focused learning environment. ? Experience working in an engaging and culturally responsive environment to support the needs of the youth. ? Proven ability to model a positive image in dress, behavior, language, and attitude. ? Willingness and ability to work as a team member ? Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, and facility. ? Good organizational skills and detail-oriented. ? Physically fit with the ability to perform restraints when needed. ? History of good job attendance. ? Must pass criminal background checks and be free from communicable diseases. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Salary and work year as established by the Governing Board. The employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non - prescribed controlled substance use in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District. EVALUATION: Performance of this position will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Personnel.
