Reports To: Counselor Duty Days: 201 Days Wage/Hour Status: Non-Exempt Pay Grade: AS02 Qualifications: College hours, high school diploma or GED Proficient keyboarding, word processing, and file maintenance skills Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills General office management and receptionist skills Good skills in reading, writing, and spelling Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases, and do word processing General office machines Ability to work with people Primary Purpose: Serve as secretary and provide clerical support to the counselor(s) Major Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepare all correspondence.
• Maintain filing system.
• Enter data and maintain computer information.
• Perform receptionist duties: telephone communications, taking messages, setting up appointments,etc.
• Assist with student grade reporting.
• Assist with student scheduling.
• Assist with registration.
Equipment Used: Personal computer, typewriter, printer, copier, and fax machine. Working Conditions: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Repetitive hand motions. Prolonged use of computer.
