Greenville Public School District Job Description Federal Programs Bookkeeper Qualifications: Competency in computer skills. Reports to: Director of Federal and State Programs. Job Goal: To assure the smooth, efficient operation of the Office of Federal Programs budgets. Mission and Goals
• Works with the Superintendent, Principals, and Director of Federal Programs to articulate and promote the school system's vision of learning and teaching
• Monitors and evaluates progress toward accomplishment of the system's goals and objectives
• Develops goals and objectives, programs and operations that are consistent with school system vision, mission, and goals
• Ensures that unit and program plans are consistent with the system's strategic plan
• Organizes daily, monthly, and yearly schedules to facilitate learning and teaching in the schools
Management of Educational Resources
• Administers the finances of the district with sound fiscal management and educational practices
• Assists with the development of the budget and makes allocations to schools in an equitable manner
• Achieves maximum results for available resources and money spent
General
• Maintains a regular filing system
• Orders and maintains supplies as needed
• Maintains bookkeeping for federal programs
• Maintains inventory of federal equipment
• Requests monthly reimbursements on federal programs
• Prepares bills for payment
• Assists with the Consolidated Grant and other grant applications as requested
• Monitors expenditures to ensure that they have been specified in the program
• Performs any other tasks as required by the Superintendent of Education, the Deputy Superintendent, the designee of the Superintendent, and the Director of Federal Programs
Terms of Employment: Ten, eleven, or twelve month year salary and work year will be established by the Board of Education. Evaluation: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on Evaluation of Support Services Personnel.
