Support Worker – Learning Disabilities & Autism

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Contract Options:

• 16 Hours per week

• 30 hours per week

• 0 Hour Bank Contract

Join Our Learning Disability & Autism Team

ACC Care Group is seeking caring and enthusiastic Support Workers to support adults with learning disabilities and autism to live fulfilling, independent lives.

You'll provide person-centred support tailored to individual needs, helping people develop skills, access the community, and achieve their personal goals.

This role will include one week in every four of sleep-in or waking night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Supporting daily living skills

• Promoting independence and choice

• Supporting community access and activities

• Assisting with communication methods and routines

• Following Positive Behaviour Support strategies where required

• Recording accurate care documentation

• Working closely with families and professionals

Ideal Candidate

• Experience supporting people with learning disabilities and/or autism (preferred)

• Patient and understanding

• Excellent communication skills

• Positive and encouraging attitude

• Flexible and reliable

• Committed to person-centred care

Essential Requirements

✔ Full UK Driving Licence ✔ Access to your own vehicle ✔ Right to work in the UK ✔ Willingness to undertake specialist training ✔ Flexible to work shifts, evenings and weekends
