Salary: £50,000 - 70,000 per year
Requirements: Minimum 3 years of post-degree commercial experience in a data science or machine learning role.A technical degree at 2.1 or better, or equivalent, from a top university in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or Mathematics.Experience coding LLMs into production applications and using LLM coding tools in day-to-day work.Strong foundational statistical knowledge.A track record of writing clean, scalable Python code and deploying machine learning models into live, user-facing environments.A proactive and adaptable team-player mindset, with the ability to respond quickly as project requirements and technologies evolve.We are unable to consider candidates who have visa requirements or require sponsorship.Nice to have: experience with agentic frameworks.Nice to have: experience with advanced search techniques, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and vector search.Nice to have: prior experience in the online classified advertising or job board industry.Nice to have: an active personal website or GitHub account with examples of your work.Nice to have: a PhD in a relevant field of Machine Learning or Data Science. Responsibilities: Design, build, and deploy production-grade machine learning models to power our automated search and advanced personalisation tools.Develop and scale recommendation systems to match tens of millions of job seekers with suitable roles.Champion the use of Large Language Models within our core product offerings, moving prototypes into robust production applications.Continuously optimise our job search experience using advanced retrieval and ranking algorithms.Research, implement, and experiment with next-generation search techniques to improve relevance and accuracy for users globally.Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate data science models into our tech stack.Design and execute rigorous A/B tests to validate new features, algorithms, and product iterations.Apply advanced statistical and probability theory to evaluate model performance and user behaviour.Use our data infrastructure to uncover insights that drive the AI product roadmap forward.
