About this role

Salary: £127,185 - 127,185 per year

Requirements: Experience supporting production environments, with strong knowledge of SQL and database-backed applications.Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, CloudFormation and CloudWatch.Strong understanding of Linux and/or Windows Server administration.Experience working with MySQL, including performance troubleshooting, query optimisation fundamentals, scheduled jobs and backup/recovery concepts.Understanding of networking principles including routing, firewalls, security groups and VPN connectivity.Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyse logs, alerts, metrics and data to identify root causes.Experience using PowerShell, Bash, Python or SQL scripting to automate operational tasks.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Ability to effectively use and integrate AI-assisted activities into daily work.Proactive and inquisitive mindset with a focus on learning and continuous improvement.Cloud Security experience from a previous role.Experience in Transport, Logistics or Engineering. Responsibilities: Support and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and backend platforms.Investigate and resolve infrastructure, application and database incidents.Monitor system health, performance and availability, improving observability where needed.Support deployments, platform changes and operational maintenance activities.Automate repeatable tasks and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Work closely with Development, QA and Support teams to deliver reliable services.Support security, patching, backup and disaster recovery processes.
