Salary: £90,000 - 100,000 per year
Requirements: Proven experience leading Data Science teams in a commercial environment.Strong knowledge of machine learning, statistics, Python and SQL.Experience developing and deploying predictive models using customer and commercial data.Experience with cloud analytics platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake or BigQuery.Strong stakeholder management, communication and leadership skills.Commercially focused with the ability to prioritise and deliver high-impact outcomes. Responsibilities: Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Data Science team.Own and deliver our Data Science roadmap, prioritising work based on business value.Oversee the development and deployment of machine learning models, including churn, customer lifetime value, forecasting, segmentation and recommendation.Ensure our solutions are scalable, robust, governed and production-ready.Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate commercial challenges into data-driven solutions.Drive best practice in data science, model governance and technical delivery.Deliver measurable business value through the effective use of data science.Challenge approaches, raise standards, coach technical talent and influence senior stakeholders across Customer, Digital, CRM, Loyalty, Retail Media, Finance and Technology. We are hiring a Senior Data Scientist for a leadership role focused on customer data within a retail organisation. This role offers a salary of £100K plus a 50% bonus and a £6,500 car allowance. The position is based in Southampton, with a requirement to be onsite 2–3 days a month.
