About this role

Salary: £26,500 - 30,000 per year

Requirements: We are looking for someone interested in business-critical, scalable applications using modern technologies across cloud and on-premise platforms.We value a collaborative approach and a willingness to learn new technologies and understand existing software platforms.We want someone with a desire to learn how energy retail and carbon management industries work.We require strong communication skills and confidence engaging with a wide range of stakeholders.We are looking for familiarity with Java/Groovy, SQL, and Swagger/OpenAPI.We value experience with web, API, messaging/events, and database interfaces.We look for exposure to the software development lifecycle tools and practices including Maven, Git/Bitbucket, Jira Cloud, Zephyr, ReadyAPI, and JMeter.We value knowledge of testing types such as API, web, security/PEN, performance and scalability, thick client, integration, automated, and compliance testing.We appreciate command line experience with Linux shell/Bash.You must have eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship. Responsibilities: We work in an agile scrum environment and deliver significant change to our products.We design, develop, test, and deliver new features and improvements.We support and evolve products that are critical to our customers.We collaborate with highly skilled engineers across various disciplines.We help create, enhance, and support software solutions for the energy market.We contribute to platforms covering pricing, billing, supply management, business process automation, data analytics, and flexible integration architecture.
