Salary: £60,000 - 73,000 per year
Requirements: Strong commercial experience with React, TypeScript and modern JavaScript.Experience developing high-traffic, customer-facing web applications, ideally within eCommerce.Strong Node.js experience.Previous technical leadership experience through mentoring, code reviews and setting development standards.Solid understanding of frontend performance optimisation and responsive design.Experience working within Agile development teams.Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership across the frontend engineering team.Set coding standards and champion engineering best practices.Lead code reviews and mentor developers to improve quality and consistency.Design, build and enhance a high-performance eCommerce platform serving millions of users.Collaborate with Product, Delivery and Engineering teams to influence technical direction.Drive continuous improvement across development processes and tooling.Participate in an on-call rota during peak trading periods. We are a global eCommerce organisation delivering a high-traffic digital platform used by millions of customers worldwide. We are investing in our technology function and offer the opportunity to shape technical direction without moving into line management. You will work in Leicester with relocation support available and be in the office three days per week on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. We offer a salary of £60,000 to £73,000 plus a 10–12% bonus, a modern technology stack, and the chance to mentor others and influence engineering best practice across a business-critical team.
