Requirements: Degree in software engineering, computer science, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related fieldAround 10 years of experience in embedded software development within a regulated environment, with medical device experience preferredExpert-level embedded software development experience, ideally in C or C++Experience working on physical products rather than purely cloud or desktop systemsStrong design control, version control, testing, and documentation disciplineExperience across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to launch and improvementAwareness of cybersecurity and patient safety principlesAppreciation of electronics and hardware integrationFamiliarity with medical device standards and regulated pathways such as ISO 13485, IEC 62304, ISO 14971, IEC 60601, and IEC 62366 Responsibilities: Set and drive the embedded software and systems strategy for the businessContribute to early-stage innovation by exploring new technologies in embedded systems and connected medical devicesDevelop proof of concepts and functional prototypesLead system design across software and hardware for new product developmentOwn design control, risk management, and verification and validation for software and hardware functionsProvide technical oversight, review engineers work, and challenge solutions to protect qualityIdentify risks and constraints early and shape product direction through informed engineering decisionsInvestigate complex field issues, complaints, and non-conformances alongside the quality teamDrive improvements in performance, reliability, and cost across the existing rangeSupport usability testing and concept validation Technologies: CloudEmbeddedHardwareSupportC++ More:
We are an innovative and fast-growing medical technology business developing advanced devices in a regulated environment.
