Requirements: Applicants must hold Enhanced Developed Vetting (DV) Clearance.A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent commercial experience.At least 18 months of commercial experience developing software in C++.Strong experience working in Linux-based development environments.Experience debugging software and using tools such as Valgrind or similar.An understanding of networking concepts, protocols and packet analysis.Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Bootstrap.Experience using Docker for containerisation.Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.Experience using Git and modern source control workflows.Strong problem-solving skills with an analytical approach.Comfortable working independently and as part of a collaborative team.Effective communication skills with the ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Passion for producing high-quality, secure and maintainable software.Commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain high-performance software applications using C++ in Linux environments.Produce clean, efficient and maintainable code with a focus on performance, scalability and reliability.Use debugging, profiling and static analysis tools to ensure high-quality software and maximise code coverage.Investigate and resolve software defects, including issues relating to third-party libraries and dependencies.Containerise applications using Docker to support efficient deployment.Contribute to the development and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines.Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver effective technical solutions.Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous improvement initiatives to maintain high engineering standards.Use modern version control and collaboration tools to support efficient software delivery.Maintain awareness of evolving technologies and security best practices.Occasional travel to customer or company sites may be required.
