You’ll be one of the colleagues I work most closely with, so let me tell you what kind of place this is, and why I hope you’ll become part of Thunderstrike. At Thunderstrike Aviation, we design and manufacture advanced UAV systems - large, long-endurance unmanned aircraft built for defense, border surveillance, and civil protection. We operate with a startup drive and a craft-first culture, turning bold ideas into field-ready capability, fast. We sit at HCA Airport just outside Odense, in the middle of one of Europe’s strongest drone and robotics environments. And we’re growing fast: at the start of 2026 we were 10 colleagues. Now we’re 24. By the end of the year we expect to be more than 50 - and we’re not stopping there. And this is where you come in: until now, we’ve run our recruitment through an external agency. Now we want to own it ourselves, and that’s exactly what you’ll be leading. You find the people who are hard to find We need a lot of skilled people - engineers, specialists, and technical experts who are hard to find and rarely sitting around applying for jobs. Your job is to motivate some of them to become part of Thunderstrike Aviation. This isn’t a role you grow into - you own sourcing and recruitment from day one. What’s new for most people is the world you’ll be sourcing into. You help our managers get sharp on who they actually need, but you don’t wait for applications to land in an inbox. You actively reach out to the right people, spark their interest, and guide them the whole way - from the first hello to the signed contract. For that, you use the tools of the craft - LinkedIn Recruiter, an applicant tracking system, Boolean/x-ray search - while you map the market, screen, and run structured interviews with candidates. You also play a significant role in our employer branding: you reach out to talent at universities, in professional communities, and at fairs and events, and you nurture those relationships, so people are open when you one day reach out to them. And then you build the machine itself But what really creates value in the beginning is something else: building our recruitment function from the ground up. There’s no finished playbook waiting for you. You’ll shape how this works - but with the managers and engineers who’ll live with it, not off in your own corner. Owning the build isn’t the same as deciding alone - and some of it has to fit a company where safety and compliance aren’t up for debate.A strong sourcer fills roles. This role builds the capability that keeps filling them - even when we’re twice the size. On trust - because that’s the core Let me be honest about what matters most to me in this role: trust. In a company still finding its shape, trust is what lets you move things without formal authority over anyone. It’s built from two places - knowing your craft (market mapping, sourcing, and the fundamentals of recruitment) and being honest, including about what you don’t know. Here, “I don’t know that yet" is a perfectly normal and healthy sentence - not a weakness. We move fast and we learn faster - this is an environment where challenging assumptions and raising concerns early are strengths, and where the best idea wins regardless of where it comes from. Honestly, what it’s like here I’d rather be honest now than surprise you later. We’re a scaleup growing at different speeds: some parts of the house are well-defined, others are still being built - and you’ll move between the two in the same week. We make decisions quickly and occasionally remake them as we learn. If you need everything fully settled, this role will frustrate you. If being part of building the structure is exactly what excites you, you’ll thrive. Two things I want to be clear about: We’re an on-site workplace. We don’t have fixed work-from-home days, because we’re building a culture, and that happens when we’re in the room together. There’s of course room for the occasional day from home when it makes sense - but not a permanent hybrid or remote arrangement. An evolving benefits setup.
