Then join our team and help us develop a medical device that improves the lives of patients. About HEKA VR HEKA VR is a pioneering health-tech company based in the meatpacking district of Copenhagen. We are a producer of Software as a Medical Device, specialising in avatar therapy for severe mental disorders. Our product is currently being used in Denmark and we are participating in clinical studies across 14 countries. Job Description We are looking for a Unity Developer Intern to help us build and improve our Unity-based application. You will primarily work on the development of the Unity application. Your main tasks will involve creating user interfaces, implementing UI interactions, and connecting the interface to an existing REST API. The backend and API integration are already in place, so your focus will be on building a clean, responsive, and user-friendly experience. You will work closely with, and be mentored by our developer throughout the internship. We are a small team of five people, which means you will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the product and gain experience working on a real software project from prototype to production. Your responsibilities Develop and maintain UI features in Unity. Create responsive and intuitive user interfaces. Implement UI interactions and application flow. Integrate existing REST API endpoints into the application. Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured C# code. Participate in discussions about implementation and software design. What we're looking for Experience with C# and Unity. Understanding of object-oriented programming principles. Familiarity with software design principles such as SOLID. Interest in writing clean, maintainable code. Ability to work independently while asking questions when needed. This internship is well suited for a university student who wants practical experience developing a real Unity application in a small and collaborative team. You will have the opportunity to take ownership of features, receive regular feedback, and strengthen your skills in Unity development, software architecture, and professional development practices. Practical info It is a requirement that you are able to work a majority of days at our office in Copenhagen. The internship is 37 hours a week and will run from early September 2026 to mid-December 2026. This is an unpaid internship, but lunch, coffee, and snacks at the office are on us.
