East Sussex Skills Academy is looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support our students in overcoming barriers to learning and building their self-esteem. In this rewarding role based in Bexhill on Sea, you will work closely with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils who face social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties. You will guide them through small group work, one-to-one interventions, and positive behavioural strategies to help them achieve their full academic and personal potential.
What We Are Looking For
A good level of education to Level 2 or equivalent, including English and maths (or a willingness to achieve this)Experience offering support, guidance, and information to diverse groups.Strong knowledge and understanding of the unique issues affecting students.Excellent front-line communication skills, empathy, patience, and a calm, courteous manner under pressure.If you are a well-organised team player committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, we want to hear from you.
