About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Regulatory Facilitator to join Imperial College London's Research Governance and Integrity Team (RGIT), based primarily at our White City Campus.

Reporting to the Research Governance and Integrity Manager, you will ensure clinical research is supported and managed in line with sponsorship requirements, the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research and applicable regulations, including the Medicines for Human Use (Clinical Trials) Regulations 2004 (as amended).

Working closely with researchers, clinicians, professional services staff and external organisations, you will support a broad portfolio of healthcare research studies and contribute to the RGIT's training and research governance activities.

What you would be doing

You will support the review, approval and oversight of College and Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust (ICHT) sponsored research projects, including:

Project initiation, protocol review and ethical review Indemnity and risk assessment Regulatory compliance Training development and delivery Project oversight, audit and monitoring Serious Adverse Event management

You will provide administrative and operational support to ensure research is managed in accordance with sponsorship requirements and regulations, including reviewing study documentation, supporting approvals, advising researchers, maintaining governance systems and monitoring compliance.

You will also develop and deliver training and guidance for researchers, students and professional services teams, liaise with NHS partners, regulatory bodies, funders and industry collaborators, and contribute to the development of research governance processes and standard operating procedures.

What we are looking for

You will have a degree in healthcare, biological sciences or a related discipline, or equivalent research experience.

You will also bring:

Experience supporting healthcare research management and coordination Experience of ethics submissions and research approvals Experience of working with clinical trials or research databases Demonstrable knowledge of research governance requirements and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Strong written, communication and interpersonal skills The ability to develop and deliver training to a range of audiences Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a diverse team
