About this role

Interview Date: Wednesday 02 September 2026

The University of Lincoln is seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Clinical Skills and Dental Equipment Technician to join the newly established Lincolnshire Institute of Dental and Oral Health (LIDOH), opening in September 2026.

LIDOH is an exciting new centre for dental education, clinical skills development, simulation-based learning, and workforce development. Designed to support the next generation of dental professionals, the Institute will provide state-of-the-art teaching facilities, innovative technologies, and immersive learning experiences within the University of Lincoln Medical School. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality dental and healthcare education from the outset. Working closely with academic staff, clinical educators, students, and external suppliers, you will be responsible for preparing and maintaining clinical skills and simulation environments, supporting practical teaching activities, managing specialist dental equipment, and ensuring facilities operate safely and effectively.

The successful candidate will have experience working within a healthcare, dental, simulation, laboratory, technical support, or educational setting and will possess excellent organisational, technical, and problem-solving skills. You will be confident in maintaining equipment, managing resources, and providing technical support to staff and students in a busy learning environment. While the role will be primarily based within LIDOH, the postholder will also contribute to clinical skills and simulation activities across the School of Health and Care Sciences (SHCS) and the wider College of Health and Science. As such, flexibility, adaptability, and a commitment to supporting interdisciplinary healthcare education are essential. We are looking for someone who is passionate about technology-enhanced learning, committed to delivering excellent support services, and excited by the opportunity to help shape a new and innovative educational facility. In return, the University of Lincoln offers a supportive working environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to be part of a growing institution with ambitious plans for healthcare education and workforce development.

If you are looking for a rewarding role where you can make a tangible impact on the learning experience of future healthcare professionals, we would be delighted to hear from you.

Join us and help shape the future of dental and healthcare education in Lincolnshire.
