The Role Join our dynamic and forward-thinking School, where you will play a key role in enhancing nursing practice and strengthening the reputation of the School in the field of adult nursing care across all domains of practice.
Articulate and well-respected, you will teach across the department and inspire our students with your passion for education. A keen interest in developing educational practice is essential, and experience in acute or emergency care is advantageous.
In addition to contributing to the pastoral care of students, you will be encouraged and supported to pursue your interests in research, enterprise, or professional practice. An enhanced DBS check is required for the role.
The Person You will be a registered adult nurse with the NMC, educated to at least degree level, and have experience in caring for adult patients. Enthusiastic, and highly motivated, you are passionate about teaching and eager to share your skills and expertise with the future nursing workforce.
A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. We welcome applicants currently working in clinical practice who are interested in gaining experience in academia. Secondments from practice are actively encouraged.
Further Information There are two-part time (14.80 hours per week), fixed-term positions available until 31 July 2027 with a starting salary of £18,010 per annum (40% pro rata) for a Lecturer and £20,064 per annum (40% pro rata) for a Senior Lecturer.
This post is available as a result of maternity leave and it is expected that you will hold it for the full period. However, should the substantive post-holder on maternity leave exercise her right to return to work earlier, then this appointment will be terminated, subject to a notice period of one month. The maternity cover is required until 31 July 2027.
