About this role

We are advertising for an Admissions Administrator within the Postgraduate Admissions Office (PAO), the office responsible for coordinating the admission of students to postgraduate courses at the University of Cambridge.

The role is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and busy team in a central University office that provides a key service to all departments and Colleges, as well as to applicants from all over the world.

About the Role

Admissions Administrators are part of the core PAO operations team. They play a key role alongside Administrators and Senior Administrators in issuing conditional offers of admission, processing documents submitted by applicants as evidence to meet offer conditions, confirming applicants' admission once offer conditions are met; and completing processing for students requiring visas. Each administrator leads on one or more specialist areas (e.g. English language requirements, immigration, or funding), providing advice on this specialism to applicants, PAO colleagues and the wider collegiate University.

The Admissions Administrator is responsible for:

accurate, efficient and timely processing of admissions tasks; researching their specialisms and sharing knowledge; communicating with diverse applicants and varied colleagues, and responding to questions; innovating to improve applicant experience and team efficiency.

The Admissions Administrator will work closely and collaboratively with other members of the team, and with colleagues across the University.

The successful candidate will have strong skills in completing complex, regular IT-based processes, including document checking, in desk-based research and knowledge sharing, in communication and customer service, and in flexible, collaborative and innovative team working.
