About this role

Job summary

Hours: Part time 30 Hours per week

(Upon completing your probationary period, you will be eligible to join the 4 Day Week program, which allows you to work 20% fewer hours without a decrease in salary)

Contract: Fixed contract (Maternity cover from 01/09/2026 until 31/08/2027 or earlier if the substantive post holder returns)

Location: Cornwall (Truro/ Pool based)

Salary: £26,227.5 per annum

Main duties of the job

Operating from our flagship hub in the centre of Truro, Brook Sexual Health Cornwall is now the main provider of integrated sexual health services across the county. Committed to provide a modern and innovative service, we continue to extend our expert clinical provision to reach smaller communities and, with our partner organisation SH:24, have transformed Cornwall’s digital offer with accessible online services, to complement our face-to-face clinical provision.

Could you be the friendly and professional first point of contact for clients and visitors to our clinics? Based predominantly in Pool or Truro you will also cover Newquay on occasion, bringing your excellent communication skills and strong administrative experience from a busy reception environment. There is some evening and weekend working.

Essential criteria

Previous receptionist or administrative experience

Experience of managing and writing correspondence

Experience of word processing and inputting and retrieving information from a computer system

GCSEs or equivalent in English Language and Maths
