We have a fantastic opportunity for a friendly, enthusiastic, and motivated individual with a passion for supporting those with mental illness and learning disabilities to join our pharmacy team within LYPFT. The successful applicant will have excellent communication skills, an eye for detail and can work effectively as part of a team and independently.
This role supports the delivery of a safe, efficient and cost-effective Medicines Management Service across LYPFT. The post holder will provide support to the Dispensary Co-ordinator and Medicines Management Team. This includes assisting with various duties, including reception tasks, dispensing, packing, distributing medicines, and general housekeeping.
As part of this role, the post holder will be required to travel between Trust sites, community-based units/ teams, and attend external meetings or training, as required by service needs.
The purpose of this post should remain constant, but the duties and responsibilities may vary over time within the overall role and level of the post. The post holder may from time to time be asked to undertake other reasonable duties. Any such changes will be made in discussion with the post holder in the light of service needs.
The post holder will also be required to participate in weekend and Bank Holiday working on a rotational basis.

1 permanent role and 1 12 month fixed term/secondment role.
Main duties of the job
The successful applicant will work closely with our clinical teams and Pharmacists in providing a high-quality medicines optimisation service to clinical areas within LYPFT. Key areas of responsibility include:o Dispensing medicines to a high standard in a safe and efficient way.o Ordering medication for service users to maintain their supply under the supervision of Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacistso Maintenance of pharmacy stock, including ordering and receipt of medication, expiry date checking and regular stock takes.o Providing support to service users attending the hatch and signposting them to the most appropriate person.o Reception and administrative duties within our dispensaries including answering the telephone, answering the hatch, uploading information to clinical systems and general housekeeping.
We have a range of general and specialist mental health services including inpatient Adult and Older Peoples, Forensic, Recovery and Rehabilitation and community psychiatric care to the population of Leeds, forensic and CAMHS services to the population of York and tertiary specialist services such as Child and Young Peoples Service and the National Inpatient Centre for Psychological Medicine.
This post is a full-time role and includes occasional weekend and bank holiday working on a rotational basis. This position requires on-site working.

Qualifications Essential
Good standard of basic education including GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English grade C and higher (Grade 4/5 and higher)
Experience Essential
Previous experience working in a pharmacy or dispensary setting, such as a hospital, community pharmacy, or primary care environment, supporting the supply, preparation, and distribution of medicines under supervision.
Skills Essential
Ability to prioritise workload /tasks and respond to urgent demands whilst ensuring deadlines are met. Able to communicate with a wide range of people.
