We are seeking a motivated, committed and highly organised individual to join CMT department to undertake administrative duties. Cellular and Molecular Therapies (CMT) department analyses, processes and issues peripheral blood, umbilical cord and bone marrow derived CD34+ stem cells for patients undergoing haemopoietic progenitor cell (HPC) transplantation. Our Advanced Therapies Unit (ATU) in partnership with academia and regional transplant programmes also provides the opportunity for involvement in the manufacture of novel investigational medicinal products for use in clinical trials.
Main duties of the job
The administrative Assistant CMT will provide office administrative service to the CMT laboratory. The post holder will liaise with other departments and external organisations and maintain records, collate, manipulate and produce data and statistical reports. Your responsibilities will include:
Develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, internal and external customersLiaise and communicate effectively with colleagues and other departments, hospitals, outside agencies and professional bodies, in a mature and professional manner, recording and communicating difficult information by telephone, email or paper correspondence, ensuring confidentiality of information at all times.Prioritise own work using precedents and guidance from the manager.Resolve conflicting diary appointments and schedules.Co-ordinate and manage one or more diaries either electronic or paper based.Co-ordinate multi-disciplined projects or meetings, collecting, collating and circulating relevant information.Manage bring forward files, e.g. rotas and movement sheets, alerting manger to urgent priorities and deadlines.Collating data from variety of sources and manipulating as required.

Qualifications Essential
Possess GCSE qualifications in English & Maths. Possess ECDL Advanced qualification or willing to work towards. Demonstrate commitment to own Continued Professional Development (CPD).
Experience Essential
Proven experience of communicating effectively, using a variety of methods, including an excellent telephone manner Demonstrates working experience with computer packages, including word processing, databases and spreadsheets. Previous experience of working in an office environment in a relevant role.
