Main duties of the job
Duties include supporting clinicians with medical and administrative triage, coordinating child health services, managing clinical documents within EMIS, scheduling clinics, supporting reception and administrative teams, and assisting patients as required. The succesdsful candidate will also act as a key point of contact for patient queries and support the efficient delivery of clinical administrative services.

Job description Job responsibilities
The following are the core responsibilities of the Clinical Administrator. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
Primary Responsibilities
Child Health Services, including immunisation
supporting the completion of clinical administration workflows within EMIS (Admin Today)
support clinicians with medical and administrative triage
Ensure clear pathways of document management including; prescription requests, processing all DNA letters in accordance with current policy, OOH notification/Death notifications in EMIS within practice guidelines Recruitment and induction of clinical locums as required validating and adding sessions to EMIS Process incoming and outgoing email and post Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times Support all clinical staff with general tasks as requestedSecondary Responsibilities
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Senior Clinical administrator may be requested to:
coordinate clinical schedules and populate within EMIS
Process referrals to external agencies such as secondary/ community care using the electronic referral system (ERS)

Qualifications Essential
GCSE grade A to C in English and Maths 1-3 in healthcare setting
Experience Essential
Experience working in a GP practice or primary care setting? experience using EMIS Web experience supporting clinical services, such as appointment coordination, triage administration, child health services or safeguarding processes?
Desirable
GP experience
