Main duties of the job We are on the lookout for a reliable, passionate and organised individual to join our team as a kitchen assistant. Requirements include a right-to-work in the UK for a minimum of 12 months and previous kitchen experience. This role offers two part-time opportunities: 16 hours/week or 24 hours/week, both including alternative weekends. Your duties will include supporting the chef, maintaining kitchen hygiene (in line with COSHH regulations), managing time effectively, and engaging with residents. A caring, self-motivated attitude, empathy, and knowledge of food safety are necessary.

Support the chef to create healthy/balanced meals and snacks, and ensuring a goodunderstanding of various dietary requirements and allergens Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained in the kitchen area, with good levels of hygiene particularly in line with COSHH regulations and health and safety protocols. Work as a team player, but have the ability to lone work when needed, effectively managing your time. Offersupport, communication and engagement to the residents.About You

You don't have to have worked in care before, a previous role in a different catering environment is great for someone willing to learn. We'd like you to have some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH. You will be a caring, self-motivated and enthusiastic individual who is able to show empathy to the needs of others.

Qualifications Essential

A minimum of 12 months on your right to work in the UK, previous experience in a kitchen setting, some prior knowledge of food safety and COSHH, ability to work in a team and alone.
