You will be responsible for preparing, cooking and serving nutritious meals for patients, staff and visitors, ensuring all food is prepared to high standards while following food hygiene, allergen and health and safety procedures.

Main Responsibilities Prepare and cook meals in line with recipes, dietary requirements and portion standards Support the preparation of specialist meals including soft diets, diabetic meals and allergen-free meals Maintain high standards of food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness Record temperatures and complete food safety documentation accurately Monitor stock levels and support stock rotation procedures Assist with meal service and ensure timely delivery to wards and dining areas Operate kitchen equipment safely and report faults where necessary Work collaboratively with the Senior Cook, Team Leader and wider catering team Follow infection prevention and control procedures at all timesWhat Were Looking ForWe are looking for someone who has:

Person Specification
Qualifications Essential
Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or catering environment, good knowledge of food hygiene and safe food practices, understanding of allergens, teamwork skills, and flexibility in shift work are required. Experience in healthcare or hospital catering, NVQ Level 2 Food Hygiene qualification, and knowledge of NHS catering standards are desirable.
