Job summary ABOUT THE ROLE As a Regional Senior Care Assistant with Barchester care homes, you'll deliver warm, empathetic and respectful care and support across a 20-mile radius to help our residents get the most out of life. ABOUT YOU A background in care is important for the role of Regional Senior Care Assistant, and you'll need a good understanding of elderly care. A Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care is essential with a view to complete an NVQ 3, a good understanding of the wider healthcare industry is required. Ideally, you'll also have a C or above in GCSE English and Maths.
Main duties of the job As a Regional Senior Care Assistant, you'll deliver warm and respectful care within a 20-mile radius, monitoring care delivery, engaging in person-centered planning, and recording health observations such as temperature and blood pressure. The role is diverse, providing not just medical care but also companionship, ensuring each resident receives meaningful individual attention every shift. A solid care background is needed, particularly in elderly care. The position requires a Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care, with an aim to advance to NVQ 3. GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above are preferred.

Qualifications Essential
Level 2 NVQ in Health & Social Care, GCSE English and Maths at grade C or above, a good understanding of elderly care.
