Position Summary : The Furniture Sander is a vital member of the production team, responsible for the final surface preparation of wood furniture and frames. This role blends manual dexterity with a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every piece is structurally sound and aesthetically smooth before it moves to the finishing stage. Working in a high-volume manufacturing environment, you will interpret production tickets, utilize specialized sanding tools and jigs, and perform minor wood repairs to eliminate defects. Key Responsibilities : Production Oversight: Reading and interpreting production tickets to ensure each piece is sanded according to specific design requirements. Precision Sanding: Manually sanding wood furniture and frames using a variety of specialized jigs, hand tools, and power equipment. Defect Repair: Identifying and repairing minor wood defects using appropriate fillers, tools, and materials to ensure a seamless surface. Safety Compliance: Maintaining a strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and your team. Team Collaboration: Working effectively within a production team to consistently meet or exceed daily output goals and quality standards.
